Wedding catering in Dubai.
Mehndi, sangeet, the nikah, the reception. One kitchen for every function, from twenty guests to three thousand five hundred.
A Dubai wedding is rarely one meal. It is a mehndi lunch, a sangeet buffet, a nikah that runs late and a reception where three hundred people eat at once. Cater Inc. has been running those days across the Emirates since 1985, and we cook every function from the same kitchen so the standard never drops between them.
You can price the whole thing yourself before you speak to anyone. Choose the package, build the menu dish by dish, and the total updates as you go, with service staff, transport and VAT already in it.

Function by function
Every event in the week, planned as one.
Most families book us for the full sequence rather than a single night. Planning it together is what keeps the menus from repeating and the costs from drifting.
- Mehndi and haldi: chaat counters, street-food stations and light vegetarian menus for daytime crowds.
- Sangeet: live wok, tak-a-tak and grazing stations that let guests eat standing while the dancing runs.
- Nikah and reception: plated dinners or full buffets with the kitchen brigade and front-of-house to match.
- Post-wedding brunch: eggs and paratha, dosa and appam, breakfast stations for the families staying on.
Scale
Twenty guests or three thousand five hundred.
Our largest single event served 3,500 guests. The floor of the same operation is a private dinner for twenty, and both run through the same 6,500 sq ft HACCP-certified production facility with full traceability.
That matters for a wedding because the guest list changes. Confirmed numbers are due 72 hours before the event, and increases inside that window are accommodated where the kitchen has capacity.
Menus
Eleven cuisines, one banquet.
Two families rarely want the same food. Our catalogue spans classic and modern Indian, street food and chaat, Chinese, Thai, sushi and Japanese, speciality Asian, and bespoke sweets from Chhappan Bhog, the kitchen that holds the 2019 Guinness World Record for the largest display of sweets.
Jain menus with no onion, no garlic and no root, and fully plant-based vegan menus, are cooked on a separate line rather than adapted from the main one.
Where we work
Hotels, villas, beaches and ballrooms.
We cater at your venue, not ours. Across the group we have worked with Emirates Palace, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Jumeirah, Grand Hyatt, Marriott, Rotana, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Zaya Nurai Island and the Embassy of India, alongside private villas and beachfront homes across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Transport is a flat charge inside our service area, so a villa in Al Barari and a ballroom on Sheikh Zayed Road price the same way.
Common questions
Answers before you ask.
- How much does wedding catering cost in Dubai?
- Our packages start at AED 125 per head for Classic, AED 150 for Premium and AED 180 for Luxury, before extras. On top of the per-head price you pay AED 500 transport, service staff at AED 150 per waiter (one per 25 guests, minimum two) and 5% VAT. A 200-guest reception on the Premium package therefore lands around AED 30,000 plus staff, transport and VAT. Build the menu online for an exact figure.
- What is the minimum booking for a wedding function?
- Twenty guests, with a minimum order value of AED 2,500. That makes the smaller functions in a wedding week, a mehndi at home or a family dinner, bookable on the same terms as the reception.
- How far in advance should we book?
- Earlier is better for peak season, but the practical deadline is the deposit: a booking is only confirmed when we receive 50% of the total. Your final guest count is due 72 hours before the event.
- Can you cater a Jain or pure-vegetarian wedding?
- Yes. Jain menus with no onion, no garlic and no root, pure-vegetarian menus and fully vegan menus are cooked on a separate line. Our kitchen does handle nuts, dairy, gluten and shellfish elsewhere, so we cannot guarantee the absence of traces.
- Do you provide staff, crockery and furniture?
- Yes. Service staff are quoted at AED 150 per waiter, additional chefs at AED 350 each, crockery and cutlery hire at AED 9 per guest, and round tables and chairs are available as rental line items. All of it is priced in the online builder rather than added later.
- Which areas of Dubai do you cover?
- All of Dubai and the Northern Emirates, plus Abu Dhabi from our head office. Dubai and Northern Emirates enquiries are handled by Amit Chopra, our regional partner.
