Abu Dhabi is where the group started, with Kwality in 1985, and our head office is at ADGM on Al Maryah Island. Birthdays are among the parties we cater most often here. Most are at home, most are between twenty-five and fifty guests, and many mix adults and children at the same table. So the menu is built for that room: a proper spread for the grown-ups, a simpler one for the kids, and a live counter that both queue for.
Everything is priced before you commit, at the same rates as Dubai. Choose a package, pick the dishes, tell us how many children are coming, and the total updates with waiters, setup and VAT already in it. Children eat at half the adult price.
Two kinds of birthday
A children's party and a grown-up dinner want different food.
A children's birthday runs two to three hours in the afternoon. The food has to be quick to eat standing up, mild, and there when the games stop. An adult birthday runs into the night, with a bar, starters that keep coming and a sit-down or buffet dinner at nine. We plan each as its own event, and a party with both gets both.
- Children: a separate, simpler menu alongside the adult spread. Penne pasta, mini vada pav, paneer bites, mini samosas, fruit and ice cream, with nothing too spicy and everything easy to hold.
- Teenagers and adults: the full catalogue, from chaat and kebabs to dum biryani, wok counters and plated modern Indian.
- Live counters that work as entertainment: ice gola, live jalebi with rabri, a chaat counter, a pasta station or fresh fruit with ice cream.
- Sweets from Chhappan Bhog, the group's own mithai kitchen, in place of or alongside the cake.
- Pure-vegetarian, Jain and vegan menus cooked on a separate line, so a mixed guest list is never an afterthought.
Worked example
Thirty adults and ten children, start to finish.
A typical birthday in our order book is around forty people at home. Take thirty adults and ten children on the Classic package: the adults are AED 140 each and the children AED 70. Forty guests need two waiters. The AED 500 catering setup covers transport, setup and clearing, chafing dishes, plates and cutlery.
On the Premium package, which includes one live counter, the same party comes to AED 7,455 all in. Add soft drinks at AED 12 per guest, an extra counter at AED 250 to cook live, or a cleaning crew at AED 250 if you want the house back the way it was.

Villas, islands and apartments
Where the party is.
Gardens take everything, including tandoor and charcoal. In an apartment or a tower's party room the live counters run on butane, so chaat, jalebi, dosa, wok and pasta stations all still work; only tandoor and open charcoal need the outdoors. Tell us the floor and the parking arrangement and the team arrives with a trolley and the time to set up.
We cover all of Abu Dhabi, from Saadiyat, Yas and Al Reem to Al Raha, Khalifa City, Al Reef, Al Bateen and Mohammed Bin Zayed City. Island and gated communities usually need vehicle access cleared with security beforehand, so tell us the community when you book and we will send the details your gate needs. Transport is one flat charge wherever the house is.
On the day
What arrives, and when.
- The team arrives about two and a half hours before the first guests to set up counters, the buffet and the bar area you have chosen.
- Two waiters top up the buffet and clear through the party.
- Your cake is yours to choose. Our waiters cut, plate and serve it with the dessert course.
- Food is prepared for a safe service window; we leave the spread out for the length of the party, but not for eating the next day.
- At the end the team clears its own equipment and service area. The cleaning crew, if booked, does the rest of the house.

- How much does birthday party catering cost in Abu Dhabi?
- From AED 140 per adult on the Classic package, AED 180 on Premium and AED 210 on Luxury, with children at half the adult price. Add AED 150 per waiter (one per 50 guests at a buffet, at least two; one per 20 for passed canapés), the AED 500 catering setup and 5% VAT. Thirty adults and ten children on Classic come to AED 5,985 all in, the same as in Dubai.
- Do you cater children's birthday parties?
- Yes, on their own or alongside an adult dinner. Children get a separate, simpler menu, eat at half the adult price, and the counters that work best for them are ice gola, fresh fruit with ice cream, pasta and live jalebi.
- What is the minimum for a birthday party?
- Twenty guests, adults and children together, with a minimum order of AED 2,500.
- Do you cater on Saadiyat, Yas and Al Reem?
- Yes, along with the rest of the emirate. Island and gated communities usually need vehicle access cleared with security beforehand, so tell us the community at booking and we will supply what the gate asks for.
- Can you cater a birthday in an apartment?
- Yes. Live counters run on butane indoors, so chaat, dosa, wok, pasta and jalebi stations all work in an apartment or a building's party room. Tandoor and charcoal barbecue need an outdoor space.
- Do you provide the birthday cake?
- We do not bake cakes. Order the one you want from your bakery and our waiters will cut and serve it with the desserts. Indian sweets from Chhappan Bhog can sit alongside it or stand in for it.
- Do you bring plates, cutlery and staff?
- Yes. The AED 500 catering setup covers transport, setup and clearing, chafing dishes, plates and cutlery whatever the guest count. Waiters are AED 150 each. Round tables and chairs are available as rental items, with AED 200 to deliver and collect them.
- How late can I change the number of guests?
- Up to 72 hours before the party. Increases inside that window are accommodated where the kitchen has capacity.
